How to Receive a Sample

Each sample of soapstone costs $15. All monies collected for samples are directly given to charities on our Creative Giving page. The sample will also include a small bottle of mineral oil with instructions on the application of the oil if so desired and some tips on how to "use/test" your sample.    

How to Receive a Preliminary Quote

Receiving a quote is not as hard as you may think. It will only take a few minutes out of your day. You’ll first need to decide on what your project entails, then put it in writing and send it to us. Below is a list of items that we will need.

What is required:

• We’ll need a sketch or drawing of your countertops or project area.  Make sure each detail is recognizable.  Complete your sketch by adding the proper dimensions.  If you are unsure of how to measure, just take a look at our examples.  Remember to include where your sink is going along with what type of range you’re installing (slide in range, freestanding, cook top, etc. . .)  Your measurements should be as accurate as possible.
• If you are faxing us scaled plans, please remember to clearly mark where you would like our stone to go as well as the dimensions.  Fax machines can sometimes blur and shrink plans so thinking ahead can save some time. 
• If you are including backsplash, mark areas you would like it to go and how tall you would like your backsplash to be.  4” Back splash is a typical standard height. 
• Include what details you would like to add to your soapstone countertops.  Information like what edge you would like or if you want a drain board or runnels.
• Don’t worry we don’t cut our soapstone to these dimensions.  Templates have to be made before any stone is cut.

**Remember our preliminary estimate gives you a fairly accurate quote on how much your project will cost.  Adding or subtracting how much stone is used or what types of features you want with your stone (runnels, drain board, edge, etc. . .) can change the estimate.  The more accurate your mesuments are, the closer your quote will be to the invoice.
